When you first use Intercept, you must create a profile from which you can upload your travel/event plans and add Buddies.
Since the app compares your plans with those of your Buddies, those connections are essential. So, we suggest downloading Intercept in groups or pairs. In doing so, you and your friends can add one another as Buddies from the get-go.
With Buddies in place, start adding your future trips into Intercept’s Schedule function. All entries require a destination, an arrival time, and a departure time. You can input specific destinations through the app’s map interface (on which you drop a digital pin) or by searching and filtering your destination’s name.
Our app’s destination list includes airports, stadiums, cities, theme parks, resorts, and much more.
Once you’ve added your future trips and destinations, Intercept starts comparing them with your Buddies’ plans. When it identifies a time and place both you and a buddy plan to be at, it sends a message to you both.
The app also monitors users’ plans for updates. If your Buddy changes their trip’s plans, you’ll receive another notification.
Once you enter your future destinations and events into it, the Intercept app will notify you if someone you’re connected with—what we call a “Buddy”—will be at the same place around the same time.
The app monitors your planned destinations and events and compares them with those of your “Buddies.” If the app determines that you and a Buddy will be at the same destination or event, it notifies you in advance so you can meet up with that person.
No. The app only sends a message to other Buddies if they will also be at the same place around the same time.
There are two ways.
When the app discovers that one of your Buddies will be at a future event or destination, it sends your phone number a text notification.
To protect your privacy, you will create a unique username and password when you set up your profile in the app. You’ll use your email if you ever need to reset your password.
No. Only Intercept uses your profile information, and we don’t provide it to any third parties.
Yes, you can invite anyone who has installed the Intercept app on their phone and set up their profile to your Buddy List.
In the app, you can search for other people by their names, mobile phone numbers, or email addresses. If they have the Intercept app, you’ll see their profile and can send them an invitation. If they don’t have Intercept, they will have to download it and set up their profile before you can invite them.
You can select or deselect which people you want to be notified of for each destination.
Deleting a future event or destination causes “Intercept” to be broken, and the app will automatically send a text or email to your Buddy. They’ll be notified that you are no longer coming and the Intercept will be removed from their app.
